Globally-Responsible. Educational activities for teachers and youth - second edition
The project was implemented between 15th May and 31st December 2012 in Krakow, and in towns of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship (Uherce Mineralne, Olszanica, Bóbrka, Rakowa, Jasienica Rosielna), Lesser Poland Voivodeship (Gorlice, Jordanów, Chełmek, Klecza Dolna), Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (Radoszyce), Silesian Voivodeship (Częstochowa, Pszczyna), and Opole Voivodeship (Prośzków, Kędzierzyn-Koźle). The project aimed at raising awareness of the topics in the field of the global education and the global interdependences among the teachers and the students of middle and secondary schools.
As part of the project, trainings for teachers was organised in Krakow about the global and consumer’s education on two levels, which were attended by a total of 89 participants. A publication with educational materials “Human rights in global education: sources, knowledge, practice. Teachers’ materials” was created. It consists of three parts: theory, teaching and additional materials. 2,000 copies of the manual were printed. The reprint of the publication from 2011 was prepared (comic book and a teacher’s book “Globally-Responsibly”) in 3,000 copies. All the materials created during the project were distributed free of charge.
The participating schools held workshops for their students. The workshops aimed at raising awareness of the importance of the global interdependences and the diffusion of the cultural, economic and political systems in the modern world among the youth. A total of 82 hours of classes were conducted with 419 students from 15 schools. An educational game was organised on Facebook as part of the online activities during the Global Education Week.
Along with the Krakow branch of PAH, a free screening of the film “Thirsty World” was organised.
